The High Risk Pregnancy Center (HRPC), a Hera Women’s Health Center of Excellence and Nevada’s leading provider of maternal-fetal medicine, proudly announces the addition of Nikki Long, MSN, CNM, APRN to their exceptional team of healthcare professionals. Nikki, a certified nurse midwife and advanced practice registered nurse, brings over a decade of specialized experience in women’s health and maternal-fetal medicine to her new role.
Nikki’s extensive background includes a career foundation in critical care nursing, which equips her to anticipate and manage complex medical conditions associated with high-risk pregnancies. Since 2013, Nikki has focused on maternal-fetal medicine, blending her expertise in women’s health and critical care to deliver safe, personalized care for mothers and their babies.
At HRPC, Nikki works closely with perinatologists and referring care teams to create customized care plans that address each patient’s unique needs and challenges. With a strong commitment to patient education, Nikki empowers women with the knowledge and resources they need to make informed decisions about their care.
“It is important to educate patients regarding their health and allow them to be participants in the decision-making process of their care,” Nikki shared. “We tend to tell patients what to do instead of giving them choices and the education to make informed decisions. That needs to change.”
Nikki holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Penn State University and a Master of Science in Nursing with a concentration in Nurse-Midwifery from the University of New Mexico. She also earned an MBA from Ohio University, reflecting her commitment to advancing her expertise in healthcare leadership. Nikki is a member of several prestigious organizations, including the American College of Nurse Midwives and the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
Outside of her professional life, Nikki is an avid traveler with a passion for destination hikes. She has completed treks in Kilimanjaro and Peru and enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren.
